For about 20 Years of employment with the computer belongs to my life to. It all started with the purchase of a Commodore C116 – with the anticipation, that computers would increasingly find in everyday life and that it might be more of a career prospect as a teacher activity,I am all for the state exam at least (Teachers for sports and religion) successfully completed. So it was then further: It was followed by the C16, then the C128 with the first self-programmed games. Then came the move to MS-DOS, and the first programs in basic,Cobol and Assembler emerged. What was the first leisure and hobby, is then finally more or less become my profession…

After graduating from the Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium in Castrop-Rauxel I studied at the RWTH Aachen sports and ev. Theology of the Magisterium. I finished the study with the First State Examination for secondary education and I. After the clerkship, I 1986 with the Second State Examination successfully completed, the prospects were sunk to a setting in the teaching profession because of the glut of former teacher at zero, so I looked around for alternatives and as a Chamber of Commerce's degree earned as a clerk.

Breath away late 80s it myself then to Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia, and I started as an editor at market & Technology, specifically in the area of ​​special issues of the journal “C64″. Then came editor-in stations “PC Plus Magazine”, which later “PC technology” was,and in “Personal Computer”, where I retired as a senior editor and me a long time concentrated on the field of Public Relations. During the very nice time at market & Technique, I got married for the first time, which unfortunately 2000 ended in divorce.

In the following years I was among other things, co-owner of a PR agency called hypertext in Munich. But the contacts with my colleagues in the publishing houses also led,I as a freelance writer for various magazines such as “Windows currently”, “CHIP”, “PC go!” or “Good advice” and was also active for several months, precisely at the very first editions,on the editorial board of “Computer image” work was. In addition, there were three books, which I have written in this period .

From 1999, I took care of me as head of the collective part of “Computer easy”. Also been 1999 was also a first special issue of”Computer easy”, that was so well,that in 2000 other special issues followed. After that I managed to this day as editorial director of publications and other special computer easy and CHIP.
